Our Custom Socks Take Over Hudson News at San Jose Airport

That’s right, our high-quality custom-designed socks are making waves (and keeping feet cozy) right here at the SJC airport’s go-to travel shop.
Picture this: you’re strolling through the SJC airport terminal right after passing through security, you maybe grab a last-minute snack or a book for your flight, and BAM—there we are! Right next to the local San Jose t-shirt and hat swag, our bright, bold, and totally eye-catching socks are proudly displayed front and center of Hudson News, ready to enhance any traveler’s day. And guess what? They’re selling fast! So fast, in fact, that some sizes are already sold out so if you’re in this neck of the woods or just passing through, stop by to grab yourself and your friends or family a pair.
Now, how did Spirit Sox get to this point of selling our very own products in a national store like Hudson News? Well, here’s the backstory: we originally teamed up with San Jose Mineta International Airport to create some personalized socks to celebrate their 75th anniversary. We created some cool, orange socks with their mascot chick, Ernie, flying an old-timey plane for the employees of SJC to wear. We were pleasantly surprised by the feedback from those employees; our socks were such a hit internally that they requested that we make more to sell inside the airport terminal stores! How cool is that?! Right alongside those designs were also our fan-favorite Ernie the Chick socks, inspired by the airport’s adorable mascot. Who doesn’t love branded socks and mascot socks for choices?! It turns out that travelers can’t get enough of the Ernie socks either because those designs are almost sold out! (Don’t worry, we’re working on a restock!) But how inspiring is it to create a valuable partnership to help a customer out, thinking nothing further of it, and have your product speak for itself and turn that partnership into a huge retail hot commodity for travelers too!
